Family Fun & Fantastic Food at WonderWorks
Are you looking for a fun indoor attraction to beat the heat or escape a rare rainy day at the beach? Look no farther than WonderWorks! This unique attraction, located at Broadway at The Beach, is hard to miss. This whimsical attraction hosts over 100 interactive exhibits and is fun for the whole family!
WonderWorks began as a super secret laboratory nestled at a secret location somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. Dr. Wonder, the lab’s fearless leader, got carried away with one of his experiments (a daring feat that involved creating a man made tornado) and the whole lab got carried away and ended up roof-side-down in the heart of Myrtle Beach. He decided to take advantage of our sunny location and leave his lab right where it landed for people to come and enjoy his work. He even created a signature Inversion Tunnel so that everything is “right side up” upon entering this quirky attraction.
Inside, visitors will find a wide array of hands on activities and exhibits to keep you busy throughout the day. Experience the winds of a Category One Hurricane in the Hurricane Shack or become a human lightning rod at the Tesla Coil. The Bubble Lab is perfect for younger children while the WonderSimulators are ideal for the older children in your group. Young or old, your whole posy will find plenty to do at WonderWorks!
Looking for a challenge? Visit one of the on-site ropes courses! The indoor ropes challenge course stands 36 feet tall as participants climb three stories to conquer 20 obstacles. The outdoor ropes course is a little more involved as it climbs 40 feet into the air and guests have to navigate their way through 33 challenges. There is also a thrilling zipline course that takes participants flying over Lake Broadway! The indoor ropes course is included with the regular price of admission and the outdoor ropes course and zipline can be enjoyed for an additional fee.
Refuel after a full day of fun at The Works Eatery. This on-site café offers a diverse menu that is sure to please even the pickiest palette. Enjoy a variety of pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches, hot dogs, and lighter fare and take in views of Lake Broadway at the outdoor seating area. The outdoor patio also features several of their signature blender bikes where guests can blend their own frozen drinks! Of course, there is plenty of room to sit and eat indoors if you want to beat the heat.
Whether you are looking to escape unfavorable weather or just want a break from the sun and the sand, be sure a trip to WonderWorks is part of your vacation itinerary. This interactive museum offers fun for the whole family and an on-site restaurant that won’t disappoint – everything you could possibly need for an afternoon of fun!
