Date Night? Give Greg Norman’s Australian Grille in Barefoot Landing a Try
Greg Norman’s Australian Grille sits in a prime waterfront location within the Barefoot Landing shopping area in North Myrtle Beach, with the lake on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway along another. The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., with dinner service beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Famed Australian golfer Greg Norman, also known as “The Shark,” founded the restaurant 1999. Norman spent 331 weeks as the world’s number one ranked golfer in the 1980s and 1990s, and has since become a successful entrepreneur in many ventures around the world, including golf courses, agriculture and wineries.
The restaurant emphasizes great seafood in its dinner menu, though salads, meats and poultry dishes are also offered. Recent mouth-watering offerings: pan seared snapper with crabmeat, asparagus and hollandaise sauce; seared jumbo sea scallops served with butternut squash ravioli, fennel slaw and pomegranate gastrique; and Brisbane seasoned filet mignon served on a bed of sautéed onions and mushrooms. The lunch menu features casual fare such as fish and chips and a French Dip sandwich. Happy hour deals include a number of $5 appetizer plates as well as happy hour pricing on select beer—including Fosters, of course—wine and cocktails.
